Finding Nemo is an animated film about a clown fish named Marlin raising his only son Nemo. Nemos egg had a crack in it so he was born with one small weak fin referred to as his lucky fin. On Nemos first day of school, he is teased about his small fin and swims out into open water to prove is he just as fast as everyone else. Once out in open water he is captured by a scuba diver and taken aboard a boat. Marlin tries to go after the boat but is unable to keep up. Along his journey to find Nemo, Marlin meets a regal tang fish named Dory who has short term memory loss. Marlin and Dory find the scuba divers mask with an address on it and take off in search of Nemo. The story of Marlins determination to find his son quickly spreads across the ocean and he and Dory are aided by various sea creatures along the way. Meanwhile, Nemo is now in a tank in a dentist office waiting to be given to the dentists niece Darla. Once the other fish in the tank realize that Nemo is going to be given to Darla, they devise a plan to help him escape back into the ocean. After several failed attempts, Nemo is finally able to escape to down a drain. At the same time, Marlin and Dory has also made it to where Nemo has been taken. The three are reunited and make the long journey home.
Finding Nemo is voiced by a number of famous actors and actresses. Marlon, the dad clown fish, is voiced by Albert Brooks. Nemo, the son clownfish is voiced by Alexander Gould, while Dory, the regal tang, is voiced by Ellen DeGeneres. There are a number of other fish and sea creatures voiced by other various actors and actresses.
Finding Nemo won the an Academy Award and a Saturn Award for Best Animated Film as well as winning the Kids Choice Award for Favorite Movie. It was also nominated for a Golden Globe and two MTV Movie Awards.
